One third of 2026 is done. Gone. History.
If you want to achieve your annual goals, May is probably the last chance you have to check and adjust your plans to make sure you will savour the sweet taste of achievement in December.
Progress is an important thing to chart. So much of everyday life is very busy. We can spend so much of our time responding to other people and doing all the tasks of life, and not get around to investing enough time to work on our goals. Setting markers for what progress should look like at the end of each quarter is a great thing to do now, if you have not already done that earlier in the year.
For me, I am on track with most of my goals. I set whole-of-life goals each year and make fresh plans each quarter. So I know where I am up to as we hit the May crunchtime this year.
- My marketing strategy is filling my pipeline with a steady stream of potential clients.
- Sales are on track for the year to date.
- My book writing is a little slower than planned, but is progressing well.
- My local business chamber commitments are going well.
- We have a renovation about to start on our house.
- Our investment strategies are on track to maximise passive income.
- My health journey is going very well. As a result of committing to a Keto diet back in Fenruary, I have lost 11 Kgs and have greater clarity of mind and ability to be present to work with my clients.
- I am seeing results from hitting the gym more often. My weight lifting is progressing well.
- I have found a new golf course to play and join as a member.
- My family relationships with my daughters and grandchildren are very enjoyable.
- My wife and I are enjoying more time together. In fact I am writing this while we are on a holiday on the Gold Coast for 10 days.
- I have begun seriously using Co-pilot and learning the benefits of AI for myself.
- I am reading my 7th novel for the year.
My BIG word for 2026 is ENJOY!
That means I only work with clients I love. I aim to be fully present in every moment. I am investing in key relationships across my life.
As a bonus, I am enjoying my footy watching this year as my team, the Penrith Panthers, are on top of the table.
I am certainly enjoying the year so far and more excited than ever about the progress I am making in 2026.
Progress across every area of life leads to a greater sense of fulfilment and joy.
I encourage you to take stock as we enter this important time of year. Make any adjustments you need to make to your plans. And let’s make sure we smash those goals by the end of year and enjoy the journey while we do it.
